When I set out to do this bake sale, I honestly had no idea how much money I would raise, and how many baked goods I would receive. I said I would be happy with 20 submissions. I would be happy with maybe $500.

Seriously guys and gals, I am completely and utterly THANKFUL for EVERYONE that has participated in my bake sale, both as baker, bidder, announcer, everything.

Without you, we could not have raised…..

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me raise this much money for such an amazing cause. When all the donations have been made, I will be just about at 50% of my $4,000 goal and I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT without ALL OF YOU!

I’m hoping to throw together a few more events in order to get to my goal. But I could not have gotten this far without all of you amazing people. If I could give you all a hug I would!

Now, onto my Marathon Training.

You know, I have a love/hate relationship with running. Most of the time, I don’t really enjoy the actual running part. But I definitely feel that runner’s high afterwards, which is why I keep running.

For the most part, running has gone well. The long runs are what is killing me. Next week is 14 miles, and honestly, my long runs for the past couple of weeks have been non-existent. I think it’s time for me to make sure I get out to the Team in Training runs on the weekend. I think that is the only way I will have the motivation to do those really…..long….runs.

But, I have been working hard at Crossfit, and I think that had been making up for my less than stellar runs. With a little more than 2 months until the Marathon….it’s crunch time!

How do you find the motivation to get through your long runs? How do you psych yourself up to ENJOY running? I’d love to hear your answers!
